The Rifle and Pistol Shooting Sports Committee is hosting a .22 LR 50 yard knock over metal target challenge course. This is a friendly "competition" but also an individual challenge and exercise of basic rifle marksmanship skills. This event is open to any club member and dependents. Pre-registration IS REQUIRED. $10 per participant.
What you need to bring:
1. Unloaded and cased .22 LR rifle zeroed for 50 yards.
2. Recommended 30 rounds of ammo (per course of fire) and spare magazines.
3. Eye and ear protection
4. Chair/shade/bug spray/water/snacks if desired

8:30 AM: Check-in
9:00 AM: Safety briefing
9:30 AM: Shooting stages until all participants finish
All ages welcome (under 18 requires close supervision by a responsible adult)
Depending on the number of people registered and types of rifles there may be the following categories to shoot in. Each participant will be limited to 2 categories with up to 2 runs in each category depending on number of participants and time available.
Potential Rifle Categories:
1. Bolt-Action / Single Shot / Pump Action
a. Iron Sights
b. Non-magnified Optic (red dot)
c. Magnified optic
2. Semi-Auto
a. Iron Sights
b. Non-magnified Optic (red dot)
c. Magnified optic
Targets will be steel .22 silhouette targets varying form 2" - 5" in diameter placed at ground level. The target must be knocked over to count.
Course of Fire (1 stage = 15 targets):
Position 1: 5 targets from prone supported position
Position 2: 5 targets from standing un-supported position (No slings or shooting jackets)
Position 3: 5 targets from standing supported position
There will be a 30 round limit per stage.
The time to clear all targets is your score.
Each missed shot adds 5 seconds to your time.
Any targets that remain standing in a stage will be considered a DNF (Did Not Finish)
Suppressors welcome.
Any competitors who have 100% accuracy will advance to an optional "shoot off" on the rim-fire plate rack standing un-supported with ultimate bragging rights for whomever wins.
